A/Prof Marion Aw is currently a Senior Consultant at the Division of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition, Hepatology and Liver Transplantation, National University Hospital, and Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992 and received her post-graduate paediatric training at the National University Hospital. In 1996, she attained higher academic qualifications both in the Master of Medicine in Paediatrics (NUS) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Paediatrics, UK). She received her postgraduate training in Paediatric Hepatology at King’s College Hospital, United Kingdom (2000-2002). She is fully registered with the Singapore Medical Council and is on the Specialist Register for Paediatric Medicine, both in Singapore and the United Kingdom.
In 2004, she was elected to Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom. In addition to general paediatric gastrointestinal disorders, A/Prof Aw’s special interests are in childhood nutrition, liver disease and liver transplantation. She is a member of the National Liver Transplant Programme. She is the Department’s Postgraduate Training Director and is also actively involved in the teaching, training and assessment of medical undergraduates and postgraduate paediatric doctors.
