Dr Dharmaraj Rajesh Babu graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science in 2004. During his internship training in 2004, he developed a keen interest in Vascular Surgery during his work with Prof Sanjay Desai. He then decided on a career in Vascular Surgery. He moved to Singapore in 2006 and got into the Advanced Specialty Training in General and Vascular Surgery. He gained valuable experience in Vascular Surgery during his Advanced Specialty Training years at the National University Hospital.
He also spent a year as Specialist Senior Registrar and gained valuable experience in Vascular Surgery at Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand. He completed his specialist training and became a fellow with Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in March 2013. He was then appointed Consultant of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Heart Centre, Singapore. He also has a keen interest in research and has obtained a Masters in Clinical Research from the National University of Singapore.
Dr Rajesh is also actively involved in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching at the National University Health system and is currently a Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He also served as a Lecturer in Surgery at Christchurch Medical School, University of Otago, New Zealand from 2009 to 2010. He has full registration with Indian Medical Council, New Zealand Medical Council, Singapore Medical Council and General Medical Council UK. He has also published in New Zealand Medical journal, European journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Injury. He has also presented in many international vascular surgery conferences and contributed as faculty.
