Dr Wang Ming is certified orthopaedic specialist on sports related injuries. Dr Wang’s clinical interests include arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgeries of shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. He has special interests on knee ligament injuries (ACL, PCL), knee meniscus injuries, knee cartilage injuries, shoulder dislocations and rotator cuff tear. He is a member of Division of Sports Medicine & Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery.
From a bioengineering background, Dr Wang obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Duke-NUS graduate medical school. Dr Wang completed his specialist training at National University Hospital. During his training, he was selected to attend NUHS Residency Leadership Development Programme which is aimed to train future healthcare leaders in Singapore.
Dr Wang actively engages on bone and cartilage regeneration research in National University of Singapore. He has published extensively in Tissue Engineering, Arthroscopy on the role of growth factors in bone and cartilage regeneration. He believes joint preserving surgery through a minimally invasive manner which could potentially save the joint and delay joint replacement surgery. He was awarded with “Singapore Orthopaedic Association P Balasubramaniam Young Orthopaedic Investigator’s Award” on his research work in 2016. Besides, Dr Wang also has presented his research work in many prestigious international conferences such as Orthopaedic Research Society.
