Professor Lee Yung Seng is the head of the Department of Paediatrics with clinical interests in endocrinology and diabetes. He looks after children with problems in growth, puberty and hormonal abnormalities such as diabetes. A medical graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS), Prof Lee is now a tenured faculty member of his alma mater, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He received his clinical training at NUH and specialist training in clinical paediatric endocrinology at the Cambridge University Department of Paediatrics at Addenbrooke’s Hospital as well as research training at the University of Cambridge.

Prof Lee was awarded the NUH Young Doctor Award in 2002, the Young Researcher Award at the 12th National Congress of Child Health and 11th ASEAN Paediatric Federation Conference in 2002, the Young Investigator Award at the 12th Congress of ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies in 2003 and the Biomedical Research Council-National Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist Investigator Award in 2006.
