Dr Tan is a specialist in Medical Oncology. He received his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before undertaking a Masters of Science in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College, London. He completed his internal medicine residency training at SUNY Buffalo, followed by a clinical fellowship in medical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Dr Tan has international experience in the management and treatment of cancer patients and he has previously worked in both clinical academic and private practice settings, including positions at National Cancer Center Singapore and Central Care Cancer Centre Kansas, USA.
Dr Tan is a passionate advocate for clinical trials and participates in a number of international trials across different cancer types. He is currently developing a comprehensive clinical trials planner, which assists patients in navigating the vast number of trials available globally. With a steadfast dedication to supporting patients, Dr Tan has contributed in designing a lifestyle program that helps people adhere to the World Cancer Research Fund’s cancer prevention guidelines. As a recipient of two biomedical sciences research grants, Dr Tan’s research has pioneered and developed novel cancer bio-devices for cancer treatment.
